CRIME:  THEFT OF TRUCK / BREAK AND ENTERS

DATE:    December 1, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-71200, 2016-71224, 2016-71220

A white 1994 Ford F150 extended cab truck was taken during the early hours of December 1st from a driveway at a mobile home park at 1999 Hwy 97 S.  At approximately 8:30 a.m. the doorbell rang at a home on the1100 block of Petttman Road, which was ignored by the residents who were still in bed.  Moments later their bedroom door was opened by the intruder who had broken though a basement patio door.  The homeowner yelled at the suspect, who fled.  A short time later there was another call to RCMP of an interrupted break and enter on the 100 block of Westside Road.  The vehicle that was seen leaving the area was a white Ford F150, most likely the stolen truck.  The truck rammed its way out of the driveway and headed north on Westside Road where it ran through a construction site almost striking flaggers at the scene.  The abandoned vehicle, containing stolen items, was recovered just off Westside Road.   RMCP believe all three files are related.
