Kinney helps Gaga's charity

Lady Gaga proved she's still on good terms with ex-fiance Taylor Kinney by sharing a picture of him carrying out her charity work with her mother.

The former couple ended their relationship in July after five years together, with Gaga later revealing she hoped the split was a temporary one.

And fans of the singer were sent into meltdown earlier this week (beg05Dec16) when Gaga posted a snap of Chicago Fire star Taylor posing alongside her mother Cynthia on her Instagram page.

"At 30 Rockefeller center my charity the @btwfoundation also offers a place to send kind letters to people. @taylorkinney111 and my mom sent letters filled with kind words to soldiers fighting overseas. #ShareKindness," Gaga wrote alongside the snap.

However, despite hopes the couple had got back together, a source told TMZ.com that they "still have a great relationship and talk from time to time".

According to the outlet, Taylor happened to be in New York at the same time that Cynthia was helping run Gaga's Born This Way Foundation's Shared Kindness event, and offered to help out in the singer's absence.

The event came after Taylor opened up about his admiration for Gaga and her family's philanthropic pursuits, telling U.S. show Today on Monday (05Dec16): "Well her and her mother started the Born This Way Foundation and " I believe Cynthia is here today. They have something set up for active kindness and they do amazing things with their charity and foundation work."

Gaga is currently being kept busy with her commitments in Europe. After performing at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Paris, France, last week (ends04Dec16), Gaga jetted to London, where she attended the British Fashion Awards on Monday night and then sang at the Royal Variety Performance in the capital on Tuesday evening (06Dec16).

Gaga belted out her track A Million Reasons for an audience which included British royals Prince Charles and wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, before meeting them backstage.

As Camilla chatted to the singer, she admitted that they share a moniker because her grandchildren call her "Gaga" as an adorable nickname.

Robbie Williams, Sting and Emeli Sande were among the other stars who took to the stage for the event at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Tuesday night.
