Snow falling on our heads

The Okanagan got a taste of what's to come.

A smattering of snow fell in parts of Kelowna, including downtown where people covered themselves with hoods and umbrellas.

Environment Canada forecasters predict periods of wet snow all day Friday, with up to four centimetres falling in higher elevations.

The temperature will hover around freezing.

Okanagan residents can expect a short reprieve, but it won't last long.

"We will be seeing the snow again soon, with flurries expected to fall during the day on Sunday," says Environment Canada.
