A fest of horror

Tomorrow night, the Okanagan Society of Independent Filmmaking has organized the eighth annual Horrorfest at the Habitat at 7 p.m.

This is a costume party and adult themed frightful themes from the Okanagan's most creative minds.

Check out the event page for the list of movies and prizes.

If you still haven't been to Hoof Prints Barnyard you’re missing out.

Kristen has organized a Bootacular Barnyard event Saturday Nov. 4.

The animals will be dressed up, but the petting zoo, pony rides and play area will still be the same but since it's Halloween they will have more treats than the normal roasted marshmallows.

It's also their last family Sunday. Sorry, that's not meant to scare you.

The Community Boxing Gala is really gaining popularity.

The trash talking has been going on for a while now and it's getting good. Shelley Gilmore will have her hands full with these competitors.

This evening promises to bring back old-school Hollywood glamour to the sport.

GenNext Kelowna continues to one up the previous year's Mascaraed Ball.

Kevin Schmidt has brought the largest masquerade event to the Laurel Packing House on Nov. 4.

This event has always been an early sell out and  all funds raised will go to the United Way of the Central Okanagan, but for initiatives that specifically affect youth.

This year’s theme is the Phantom of the Opera.

Tree Brewing, Craft Kitchen and Okanagan Spirits will be there supporting this phenomenal event.

This is a first for me. As soon as my wife lets the kids and me get a dog, we will have even a bigger reason to come support the 2016 Offleashed Kelowna Gala.

The gala will be held Nov. 5 at the Coast Capri Hotel.

This chic and glamorous event will attract more than 200 animal lovers and includes a cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner, entertainment, silent and live auctions, and a cuddle lounge featuring a variety of animals available for snuggles.

Make it a great week.
