The Trans-Canada Highway remains closed west of Field, but DriveBC is reporting it could open by 7 p.m.
The highway has been closed since Monday, after a rock slide brought down 10,000 cubic metres of debris in Yoho National Park.
Two rock scaling workers were injured in the slide, and two pieces of heavy equipment were caught in it.
Meanwhile, work continues to remove the debris and stabilize the rock face.
Since the closure, traffic has been detoured via Highway 95, south of Golden to Radium Hot Springs and back north on Highway 93.
