Two people have been ordered to stand trial in provincial court next year on a charge of kidnapping in connection with an incident in Cherryville last May 25th.

Angela Kathleen Fisher, 35, and Abd'l-Malik Loubissi-Morris, 20, have been scheduled to appear for a two-day trial in a Vernon courtroom on March 15 and 16, 2017.

Police and Crown counsel have refused to release details of the case.

Both Fisher and Loubissi-Morris face charges including; kidnapping without the use of a firearm, using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence and assault.

Fisher faces a further charge of uttering threats to burn, destroy or damage while Loubissi-Morris faces a charge of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
