It's a position of the utmost trust.
An elementary school principal may be the latest person caught in a Creep Catchers' sting.
Posts on social media have identified the man as the principal of Windebank Elementary School in Mission.
The school's parent advisory council posted a message on its Facebook page saying the school district is investigating and authorities have been notified.
"Counsellors are being brought up to speed and may need to be vigilant at Windebank, Silverdale, and the middle schools. Further ‘official’ posts will come out later tomorrow. As a final comment, (the principal) will not be at work," said the post.
The vigilante group said the video was shot in Abbotsford on Oct. 14 and it shows a man trying to meet up with a 14-year-old girl for sex.
The man in the video says, "I didn't do anything but talk."
Abbotsford Police are expected to make a statement today.
The vigilante group has been both praised and criticized for its work. In Edmonton, a woman with mental health issues committed suicide after the group released a video of her.
In Surrey, Const. Dario Devic has been charged with child luring after he was caught in a sting.
