Three people were arrested and five police officers injured in a violent takedown in downtown Victoria, Friday evening.
Police responded to an assault about 6 p.m.
After they arrested one man, two others became “hostile and violent” police say.
Up to a dozen police units converged on the escalating scene, where four officers were hurt.
The mayhem continued at the Victoria Police cells, where another officer was assaulted.
All five officers were treated in hospital.
A 28-year-old Victoria woman, 25-year-old Esquimalt man and a 31-year-old Saanich man are facing charges.
