Recognition for PIB

There was more recognition for the Penticton Indian Band Development Corporation this week.

On Oct.  19,  representatives from the PIB and the development corporation attended the 2016 BC Aboriginal Business Awards Gala at the Fairmont in Vancouver.

The development corporation  is being recognized for their outstanding achievement in the category of Community-Owned Business of the Year – two or more entities.

The PIB owns and operates four businesses, including Westhills Aggregates, Coyote Cruises, Sn’pinktn Forestry and Penticton Indian Band Utilities Corporation.

Council member Joseph Pierre accepted the award on behalf of the corporation.

Also in attendance were council member Kevin Gabriel and development corporation staff Lesley Gabriel and April Gabriel.

The awards are held annually by the BC Achievement Foundation.
