Employees at an adult intermediate care facility owned by Westbank First Nation, will be protesting what they call unfair labour practices.

Staff members at Pine Acres Home will be joined by band members at a protest Friday morning in front of the facility.

Pine Acres is being accused of not paying to employment standards.

It's alleged, since 2013, Pine Acres has not been following employment standards as it pertains to average days' pay.

According to one employee, they have been trying to get the situation rectified through grievances and numerous meetings.

He claims the administrator refuses to acknowledge that employment standards would apply to them.
