This crook was literally up the creek without a paddle.
A male suspect in a West Vancouver break and enter tried to flee the scene on a paddleboard.
Except he didn't have a paddle.
Police responding to an alarm call found the door ajar and no one home. When the homeowner returned, police viewed security video and broadcast a description of the male to fellow officers.
Meanwhile, several calls came in about a suspicious person in people's yards.
The suspect was quickly located, but took off on a bicycle before hopping on a paddleboard at a waterfront home and "heading out to sea."
The Vancouver Police Marine Unit apprehended the man, who faces several charges.
