The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce's Top 40 Over 40 has begun. 

It was a wise decision to recognize talent in the higher age brackets even though they could have found another Top 40 Under 40 because of the number of them who continue to move here. 

Raghwa Gopal deserved to be first as he has great success and he is giving back to the community.

The Great Canadian Bacon Chase is happening this Sunday at Parkinson Recreation. 

If you’re going to Hop Scotch and need a hangover cure, then you need to check out this unlimited bacon event. 

Christina Ferriera from Impact Events has done a phenomenal job bringing back the bouncy castles, and The Donut Guy will be at the turn around making bacon donuts with a maple bacon glaze. 

This is a family event that is supporting the local Boys N Girls Clubs.  Get your tickets at  here.

To balance out the health of this article, you need to know about One Big Tables Pop Up Grocery Store.

This event is happening at the new Bean Scene downtown and they have scoured the Okanagan, the Kootenays and the Coast to find unique flavours. 

This will be Kelowna’s first grocery store dedicated to all things local: fruits and vegetables, free-range meats and eggs, cheeses, breads and artisan food products made by real people here in beautiful British Columbia. 

For all you gentleman out there, Alex Miller from MVP Modern Barbers is hosting a fundraiser for Motiionball on Sept. 27.  $10 from every haircut at will be donated back to Motionball.

They are rallying as a community to break the record for the most haircuts in one day.

Chef Ross Derek made the leap from chef to entrepreneur and has never looked back. He is known for great food at a reasonable price and giving back to the community. 

He is taking a break from his United Way Boxing Training to host a Lobster Boil for Julia. If you haven’t been to there before or you have never had a lobster boil check this out.
