Not a regular farm tour

Have politics gone to pot?

Maybe not, but one provincial politician shared some pictures on social media of him, with a sea of green behind him this week.

Norm Letnick, representative of Kelowna-Lake Country and the provincial minister of agriculture, paid a visit to one of the province's eight legal medical pot growers this week.

"Not your average everyday greenhouse tour today," Letnick said in a Facebook post.

The pictures showed him at Tilray, which grows and processes medical marijuana in Nanaimo, and ships to patients across the country.

The post drew several comments from people, many of whom found humour in the situation.

One commenter noted the "perks of being Minister of Agriculture," while another gave him a warning: "No sampling the product."

One commenter went in another direction: "Bring me some samples Norm," the commenter wrote.
