A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the North Okanagan, for an incoming storm that could include strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
According to Environment Canada, conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms in the north Okanagan, including Vernon.
The watch was posted on Environment Canada's website just before 10 a.m. Saturday morning, and currently remains in effect.
