The official trailer for the Kelowna-produced documentary Ice Guardians has been released.
The trailer is a snippet of the documentary, which is set for release next month. The world premiere is set for Toronto on Sept. 12.
It was put together by Kelowna-born producer and co-creator Adam Scorgie, directed by Brett Harvey and edited by Stephen Green.
Ironically, the premiere date is right in the middle of the Toronto International Film Festival, which did not grant Ice Guardians entry.
The premiere, which includes an all-star lineup of stars from the film, is nearly sold out.
Ice Guardians will show in Edmonton Sept. 15 and Kelowna Thursday, Sept. 29.
In between, it will also be featured at the Calgary International Film Festival and the Raindance Film Festival in London, England.
The Kelowna red carpet premier will be held at the Grand 10 on Highway 97.
Former Kelowna Rockets player Mitch Fritz, Scott Parker and Todd Fedoruk are all scheduled to appear and speak. Eric Godard and Glen Cochrane will also attend.
Ice Guardians chronicles the life of the hockey enforcer through the eyes and the words of those who lived it.
