A small grass fire broke out in the Trout Creek area Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was just off Highway 97, by Green Lake Road.

The Summerland Fire Department and RCMP attended the scene, blocking one lane of southbound traffic while firefighters attacked the fire with hoses from above and below.

Traffic was slowed at that point, but only caused a minor delay.
