No charges in odd incident

Vancouver police say no charges will be recommended after a strange incident last week that involved a naked woman and prompted an emergency response in the city's downtown.

Policed cordononed off a downtown block on the Robson Street shopping district last Friday after a witness called 911 to say they looked into a locked store and saw a bare foot sticking out from behind a counter.

When police arrived they saw a naked woman and at least one man walking around inside the shop, but those inside refused to unlock the door and speak with officers.

Police say the strange and suspicious circumstances triggered the attendance of police negotiators and the emergency response team.

Three people were later taken into custody.

Police say detectives obtained a search warrant and took video footage from the office along with a number of other exhibits.

After watching the video and speaking with the three people involved, police say there's no evidence to support any criminal charges.
