Confusion at OK Corral

A Facebook post pleading for witnesses to a possible stabbing at the OK Corral has club owners and police puzzled.

The social media post was shared Friday after an alleged incident Thursday night. It claims a 21-year-old man was stabbed after an altercation near or close-to the OK Corral by a person or persons who brought a knife to the club.

Andy Bowie, with the OK Corral, was shocked to learn of the social media post. He says there was no security issue Thursday and they were unaware of any stabbing.

“We have gone through the security footage, plus spoke with our security, and there was no altercation,” he said. “We just want to know if someone is hurt, or if this is some sort of slander.”

Bowie immediately called police to open a file, and is asking for anyone with information to come forward.

"The Corral strives to maintain a fun, safe place for friends and family to enjoy time together," he said.

RCMP say a man who had been injured was taken to hospital by friends late Thursday night. Officers did not believe he had been stabbed. The man was confused about his whereabouts and police were unsure an altercation had taken place at the Corral.

Castanet contacted the social media user who posted the message of the incident and did not receive a reply.

Anyone with any information regarding this possible incident is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP.
