Sheen restraining order lifted

Charlie Sheen has had a restraining order against him lifted.

The former 'Two and a Half Men' star was ordered last month to stay away from former fiancee Scottine Ross - who dated the star in 2013 and 2014 - in a temporary judgement after she claimed he had threatened her life, kicked her to the ground in January 2014 and attempted to choke her to the point she almost lost consciousness a few months later, but a court had the ruling vacated today (04.28.16).

Charlie's lawyer, Andrew Brettler, told The Hollywood Reporter: "We're pleased that the court vacated the restraining order.

"It was obvious that there wasn't enough there for the restraining order to stay in place."

In their opposition to the order, Charlie's lawyers, Mr. Brettler and Marty Singer, suggested the bid for a restraining order was a financially-motivated publicity stunt.

Their opposition said: "Ross is banking on the fact that Sheen will pay her millions of dollars to avoid the negative publicity surrounding her outrageous claims.

"Ross should not be rewarded for her abusive litigation tactics."

A hearing on the matter is now scheduled for May 18.

Scottine - who is known professionally as Brett Rossi - was not in court today, with her legal representatives informing the judge she had a personal appearance commitment in Georgia.

While the 50-year-old actor is no longer bound by a restraining order, the issue is not yet over as his former fiancee is suing him for assault, battery, and the intentional infliction of emotional distress by failing to tell her he was HIV positive before they first slept together.

A judge previously ruled the initial proceedings should be heard in arbitration - which is private - though the arbitrator could send the case back to the courts.

The 'Anger Management' star is also involved in disputes with ex-wives Denise Richards - the mother of his daughters Sam, 12, and Lola, 10 - and Brooke Mueller, with whom he has seven-year-old twins Bob and Max, as he wants to have the amount of child support he pays them reduced because his income is no longer what it was.
