2 stabbed in Surrey

Two people were taken to hospital overnight after a stabbing incident in Surrey.

About 10:15 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to the 11300 block of Surrey Road.

A 62-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were found suffering from apparent stab wounds. They were both taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were able to determine that an altercation occurred between the victims and another individual.

Officers canvassed the neighbourhood and spoke with several witnesses. Evidence indicates the parties involved were known to each other.

The investigation continues, said Surrey RCMP Sgt. Bill Parmar.
