UBC Okanagan students are inviting the public to head downtown this weekend and share their thoughts.

As part of the annual Canvas project, people will be asked to answer three questions on canvas – in any way they see fit.

• Where do you consider home?
• What's something you cherish most?
• What's something that disappoints you most?

“Passersby can answer these questions in any manner they choose, whether it be through writing a word or a few sentences, or through drawing a picture or symbol,” explains UBCO student Laurence Watt.

“The objective of this project is to highlight how, even though we are vastly diverse and come from different backgrounds, at our core we are all similar.”

The first session of the event was held last week on campus and shown in the picture above.

Organizers are expecting a large turnout and have organized a barbecue on-site, among other activities.

The students will be set up near the Sails between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.
