While it has warmed up from -14 C last week to a balmy -5 C today – the wind is leaving Kelowna residents shivering.
Today's strong winds reflect a wind chill of -10 C, despite promises by Environment Canada that temperatures would warm up early this week.
Tuesday's forecast is calling for cloudy conditions with a high of -5 C and a low of -6 C.
Wednesday will see temps start to creep up with a mix of sun and cloud, but a high of only 0 C.
Don’t despair, temperatures will continue to rise this week and through to weekend.
Thursday should break the freezing mark, with cloudy conditions, a 60 per cent chance of flurries and a high of 3 C.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are forecast to continue the warming trend with highs and lows all above the freezing point.
