3 found dead in home

RCMP say they are treating the deaths of three people in a rural home west of Edmonton as homicides.

Mounties found the bodies of a man, a woman and a teenage girl with "obvious trauma" in a house near Edson on Sunday.

Insp. Gibson Glavin says the deaths were not a murder-suicide.

Glavin would not say at a news conference in Edmonton what the relationship was between the dead other than that they all lived in the house.

He said the investigation is not ruling out any suspects and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have information about what happened.

Glavin said police don't believe anyone in the public is at risk, but he urged people to be cautious until an arrest is made.

"Be aware of people or circumstances that might cause them to believe they have some knowledge or some connection with this homicide investigation," he said Monday. "(Do) not approach anybody that they suspect that might be the case."

Autopsies have yet to be performed.
