Hit-and-run driver sought

New Westminster police are looking for a hit-and-run driver.

On Nov. 28 at approximately 11:15 p.m. a driver called police to report a male laying on the road in the 400 block of Brunette Avenue who appeared to have been stuck by a vehicle that did not remain on scene.

“NWPD patrol officers responded to the injured pedestrian, who appeared to have injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” said Sgt. Jeff Scott.

The unidentified man was transported to a local area hospital for his injuries, and remains under the care of doctors.

“We are asking for anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed to the collision to call us,” said Scott. “The pedestrian is in stable condition at a local area hospital, and our investigators and collision analysis and reconstruction team are conducting a thorough investigation.”
