Warriors fall in road finale

The Langley Rivermen were too much for the road-weary West Kelowna Warriors.

The Rivermen snapped a 1-1 tie with three straight goals in registering a 4-2 win over the Warriors.

West Kelowna finished 2-1 on its three game road trip after previous wins over Wentachee and Surrey.

Torrin White had a goal and two assists for the Rivermen while Max Kaufman and Matthew Graham each chipped in with a pair of assists.

After White opened the scoring early in the first, Garrett Forster got the Warriors back on even terms 2:26 into the second.

Langley assumed the lead for good a minute later before Adam Sinclair upped the lead to 3-11 in the final minute of the second, just 10 seconds after a Warriors power-play had expired.

Langley increased the lead to 4-1 early in the third before Liam Blackburn connected on a Warriors power-play in the final minute.

Keelan Williams turned aside 25 shots in a losing cause as the Warriors outshot Langley 35-29.

The Warriors return home to host Trail Tuesday and Cowichan Valley Friday.
