Vernon Vipers forward Liam Finlay has been named to the selection camp roster of Canada West for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge.

Finlay is currently tied for the team lead with 26 points, including 11 goals.

The World Junior A Challenge will be held in Wellington and Trenton, Ont. Dec. 13-19.

Created in 2006 to showcase the talent in Canada’s 10 Junior A leagues, the World Junior A Challenge includes two Canadian teams - East and West - joined by four international entries from the Czech Republic, Russia, Switzerland and the United States which compete for a gold medal.

Tim Fragle of the Sherwood Park Crusaders and an assistant coach with Canada West when it finished sixth last year in Kindersley, Alta., will serve as head coach at the 2015 World Junior A Challenge, joined behind the bench by assistant coaches Paul Dyck, Mike Reagan and Barry Wolff.
