Suzuki to speak in Kelowna

David Suzuki will be in Kelowna this week to speak at a water forum held by the Okanagan Nation Alliance.

The forum is set to address everything from droughts in the province to mounting water challenges in the Okanagan.

Titled the 'Okanagan Water Forum: From Knowledge to Forward Thinking' the event will bring together Okanagan Nation representatives and regional water stakeholders in an effort to build partnerships, and create solutions in regards to water management in the valley.

Suzuki along with Grand Chief Stewart Phillip and Chief Robert Louie are some of the speakers set to give speeches in the morning schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

While the in afternoon attendees will look to answer the question: how we might work together to build potential partnerships and find solutions to a better, more resilient water future.

The event takes place at the Four Points by Sheraton from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
