Thank you KGH

Three weeks ago I had a massive heart attack.  After being rushed to Emergency at KGH the team went into action immediately.  I did not have much time to live once I arrived at the hospital so a trip to Vancouver would have killed me.  I was rushed through Emergency triage and taken into the Emergency Heart section.  From there surgeons and their team were called into action.  Less than an hour after arriving at the front door I was in the new Cardiac Heart Operating Room and thereafter within 2 hours of arriving at the hospital I was taken to CCU, already repaired.  With a lot of people’s help, we have the greatest cardio department in BC. 
 
I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of Emergency, and the entire Cardiac Care team for the wonderful care that I received at KGH.  I have heard people complain on the service but believe me if you are really ill, there is no better place to be.  They are excellent at their jobs.
