Murder victim's movements

Vernon RCMP continue to piece together the last known movements of a man found murdered in Polson Park Aug 26.

An appeal for more witnesses last week has resulted in some calls to the North Okanagan detachment, but a police spokesperson was unable to say if it had led to more witnesses coming forward.

The body of Jason Hardy, 42, was found in bushes behind the lawn bowling club in the park. Police have not revealed the cause of death.

Three people are facing murder charges.

"What we're trying to do is piece together the last movements of our victim – all the way through as much a period of time as we can," said Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

"We absolutely believe we have a very good case against all three people who are currently charged. However, we are just trying to get as many answers as to what was going on that night as possible," Noseworthy said Monday.

Two men, Tal Kalum La Riviera, 28, and Brandon Joseph Clayton Wellington, 18, have been charged with second-degree murder in the case. A 14-year-old male is facing the same charge but cannot be named because he is a minor.
