Help stop animal cruelty

Castanet's Rob Balsdon is stepping up to help the Kelowna BC SPCA on Friday August 28th by locking himself in a kennel with a dog until he raises $4000.

Last year the BC SPCA conducted 8,849 new cruelty investigations. This is a staggering number, and one that continues to rise.

The animals need our help and by donating to this great cause you will help fund cruelty prevention and education programs, and the enforcement of animal cruelty laws. With their team of specially trained constables, the BC SPCA is making strides. But there is still more work to be done.

Every dollar raised will help the BC SPCA rescue and care for abused, injured and abandoned animals, and work to prevent cruelty before it occurs.

You should also think about the poor dog that will be unfairly stuck with Rob all day in a kennel; the dog needs help getting away from this haphazard comedian as quickly as possible. Rob's co-workers can't even stand him, imagine what this poor dog will be feeling.

Please donate if you can and together we can put our foot down on animal cruelty. You can make donations at http://support.spca.bc.ca/goto/robbalsdon or stop in at the Kelowna BC SPCA between 10am and 1pm to donate in person and support Rob and his goal to raise $4000.
