B.C. Wildfire Service crews quickly got a small fire near Beaverdell under control and contained.
According to Karlie Shaughnessey, fire information officer with the South East Fire Centre, the fire near the Carmi Forest Service Road, 10 kilometres northwest of Beaverdell, is 100 per cent contained.
The blaze, reported Monday afternoon, grew to 0.62 hectares in size and is now in mop up.
Shaughnessey says the blaze is human caused and under investigation.
While they do not have an exact cause yet, the fire is near a logging company operation.
