Fire investigators say a recent fire at Vengeance Fitness and Kobau Lanes Bowling Alley in Osoyoos was deliberately set.
At 3:45 a.m. on July 2, police noticed smoke coming from the rear of the building on Highway 97.
A closer inspection found flames starting to build. The Osoyoos Fire Department was called and was able to quickly douse the fire, containing it to a small area on the roof and inside the rear of the gym.
The building received extensive smoke and water damage.
Fire investigators have since determined the fire to be suspicious in nature.
Osoyoos RCMP are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the arrest of those responsible.
