Accent Inn takedown

Two men from the Lower Mainland are facing charges after uttering threats at a local business early Monday.

According to Kelowna RCMP Cpl. Joe Duncan, a call was placed to police at 12:42 a.m. Monday about two men uttering threats and making threatening gestures at a local business.

“They uttered threats at a local business and then went back to the Accent Inn,” says Duncan.

The men, aged 24 and 25, from White Rock and Surrey, were found by police at the hotel, where they were taken into custody without incident.

“They did a search of their room, and nothing was located,” says Duncan. “They were held in custody and released on charges of uttering threats.”

Both men are expected in court in August.
