A 62-year-old Kelowna man has now been charged in the death of Warren Welters.
Daniel Garth Ruff was taken into custody by police Monday and charged with second degree murder after the body of Welters, 51, was found in his home on Bernard Avenue Sunday June 14.
Ruff was previously convicted in 2008 of fear of injury or damage by another person.
Ruff made his first court appearance Tuesday and is expected to make his next court appearance July 9, 2015.
