Phase 2 of the Stuart Park expansion is nearing completion with the sidewalk along Water Street scheduled to open today, just in time for Canada Day.

The lawn has been planted, but will remain fenced off for a couple weeks to allow the grass to establish. Sidewalks and pedestrian spaces will be open, but the public is asked to respect the lawn closure until the fence is removed.

The two planting beds will see fresh shrubs in early July; while the fire pit installation is scheduled for fall 2015.

Construction of a semi-circular curb, gutter and sidewalk on the west side of Water and Doyle streets is scheduled this fall to match the alignment of a planned future roundabout at this intersection.
