An RCMP officer at the accident scene

A woman was injured in a single vehicle rollover on Naramata Road in Naramata, Thursday morning.

Fire Chief Tony Trovao said the incident took place at 8:35 a.m. on the road right below the fire hall.

The female driver, believed to be a Naramata resident, was taken from the rear of the Nissan Xterra using the jaws of life.

B.C. Ambulance, at the scene along with the fire department and RCMP, transported the woman, who sustained minor injuries, to the hospital in Penticton.

A temporary detour was put in place but traffic was moving again by close to 9:30 a.m.

Trovao said the incident remains under investigation.
