Roller derby action returns to the Penticton Curling Club this weekend.

The Penticton Pistoleras will host the Rink Minx from Comox Valley on Saturday in the South Okanagan Roller Derby Association's season home opener.

Spokesperson Colleen Milligan says the Spring Roll will feature two 30-minute halves with a short intermission. Proceeds from the 50/50 will go toward Muscular Dystrophy, supporting derby members in the firetruck pull June 6 in Penticton.

Tickets are available from SunCity Tattoos, Lockworks Inc., Picture This, Saint Germain Cafe or team members. Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the door, with kids under 10 free.

The first whistle at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:30.
