Mustang causes crash chaos

A multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Pandosy Street has police on the lookout for a blue Mustang.

Just after 2 p.m., a driver in one of the cars involved said the Mustang collided with a black Lincoln while making an illegal left turn onto the highway from Pandosy.

The Mustang driver urged the woman behind the wheel of the Lincoln to pull over so they could exchange information. But, when the woman moved her car to a nearby parking lot, the Mustang driver took off.

A woman driving a black Mazda sedan said she had to slam on her brakes as the Mustang sped off across multiple lanes of traffic. That caused a chain-reaction collision between the Mazda and a motorcycle and Dodge pickup that were following southbound.

Police, fire and ambulance paramedics all responded to the incident. It appears there were no serious injuries, although paramedics were seen fitting a neck brace on the woman who was driving the Lincoln. The witness said the motorcycle rider complained of some minor wrist pain.

The others were unhurt.
