Man dies in ATV accident

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died after an all-terrain vehicle incident near Kamloops on March 28.

The victim was Joshua William Pollard Zapf, 27, of Kamloops.

Zapf was operating a quad on Greenstone Mountain, about 30 kilometres from Kamloops, about 6 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve, and the ATV left the roadway and went into the trees.

Zapf’s companions immediately went to summon help, and he was transported to Royal Inland Hospital. However, he succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash the next day.
