Home show this weekend

Anyone looking for tips and advice on building, renovating, decorating or design should stop by the Kelowna Curling Club this weekend.

The annual Home & Garden Show will be taking place both days, put on by the Okanagan chapter of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

Organizers anticipate thousands of visitors to the show, which will feature roughly 75 exhibitors.

Renovation experts, including Mike Budd – the reigning Renovator of the Year – will be on hand to talk about reno plans. He was awarded the designation at the recent Thompson Okanagan Housing Awards (Tommies) put on by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

Also on hand will be Crispin Butterfield from Urban Theory. She will be on stage both days, along with Eternal Timber & Design, to talk about all design plans.

Bartlett Tree Experts will talk about tree care and choosing the right shrubs, trees and plants for the Okanagan to keep your yard healthy.

Admission is $5 per person, with children 12 and under free.

The event is open to the public Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
