Free WiFi across Kelowna

Got WiFi? Now you do.

Shaw is offering free access to its Shaw Go WiFi network at more than 900 hotspots across Kelowna until March 22.

"Canadians are using the Internet more than ever and want a fast, reliable connection on-the-go in the places they visit the most, whether it's their local coffee shops, parks or recreation centres," said Katherine Emberly, Shaw's vice-president of operations.

Shaw's is Kelowna's largest WiFi network, and will allow users to access content on-the-go, while avoiding potentially expensive cellular data charges, Emberly said in a press release.

The WiFi can be accessed in the downtown core, at Kelowna City Park, the Kelowna Yacht Club and marina, Apple Bowl, Landmark Cinemas, H20 Centre, Capri Mall and many more sites. A full list of locations is available at www.shaw.ca/wifi or by downloading the Shaw Go WiFi Finder App.

You don't have to be a Shaw customer to enjoy the freebie.

Residents can connect to the network by selecting "ShawGuest" on the list of available WiFi hotspots and following the steps to register their devices. Registration only needs to be done once, after which users can simply login in with their email address and password.
