Skydiver experiences seizure

Jumping out of a plane at over 10,000 feet can be scary, but when you lose consciousness, it can be downright dangerous.

One man found out the hard way during his training for an Accelerated Free Fall program in Austrialia –  a method of skydiving that is said to be the fastest way to experience a solo free-fall.

In a video posted online, the skydiver recounts how he experienced a seizure at 9,000 feet while attempting a left-hand turn, which led to his near-death experience.

After falling for roughly 30 seconds, and unable to help himself, the man’s instructor manages to pull his ripcord at around 4,000 feet.

Shortly thereafter he regained consciousness and was able to land safely on the ground.

The Perth resident suffers from epileptic seizures and was given the go ahead from his doctor to skydive, but following this incident it's clear his skydiving career is over.
