Sun Peaks Resort has announced it is extending its ski season by one full week to April 12.
“In addition to allowing guests to book longer Easter stays, our new terrain on the northeast aspect of Tod Mountain provides some of the best and latest spring skiing in the area,” says resort spokesman Aidan Kelly.
Visitors will be able to ski at the half-day lift ticket rate from April 7 to 12. Four lifts will be turning (Sundance, Elevation, Crystal and Platter), opening access to approximately 2,000 acres of Sun Peaks’ trails and ski areas, including Gil’s, Crystal Bowl, the front side of Mount Tod, Sundance Mountain and the Rockstar Energy Terrain Park.
“We are well known for great spring snow and hope to take advantage of this to offer late-season ski race training,” says Kelly.
“In addition, Washington residents are enjoying the best U.S. exchange rate in five years,” he adds, anticipating this will translate into increased ski tourism.
Tod Mountain Days Spring Festival will continue as scheduled April 4 and 5. For more information, go to www.SunPeaksResort.com/Tod-Mountain-Days.
