ANAHIM LAKE, BC - RCMP in Anahim Lake have made arrests as they investigate the deaths of two young men after a shooting on Boxing Day.

Just before midnight on December 26, RCMP received a complaint about shots being fired at a residence in the rural area.  When they arrived they found two men, aged 22 and 23, dead.

Police now have two suspects in custody and while they say the investigation is still in the early stages, they believe the victims and suspects knew each other.

Extra resources were called in from Bella Coola, Alexis Creek, the North District Major Crime Unit and local emergency response teams to help deal with the incident.

Anahim Lake is a small settlement 325 kilometres west of Williams Lake on Highway 20.
