Recreation Penticton is sending a big thank you to the community for all their support this year.

On Friday, Dec.12, the community centre will hold its second annual Customer Appreciation Day. There will be free coffee and treats courtesy of Fibonacci's coffee kiosk, as well as door prizes throughout the event.

"This is a great time to touch base with people to say thank you, and recreation wanted to thank people for participating, volunteering and bringing their energy to the community centre," said Mayor Andre Jakubeit.

"Healthy people make for strong communities, and there are a lot of customers that come here daily to engage in our programs."

The Customer Appreciaton Day activities will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community centre, 325 Power Street. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on recreation programs as well.
