Motorists heading south out of Kelowna should use caution going up bridge hill.

A Castanet tipster is warning about a large deer that has evidently been struck by a vehicle and is still lying in the middle lane.

We're told the deer is dark in colour, stretched out across the lane, and causing some traffic disruptions.

Anyone heading towards West Kelowna should be on the lookout for the animal.
