The St. Patrick’s Celtics of Vancouver avenged a loss to the Immaculata Mustangs in last year’s final and claimed the 2014 B.C. Catholic high school girls volleyball championship on the weekend.
Playing what Immaculata coach Brian Drosdovech termed “crazy-good defence”, St. Pat’s, the No. 7-ranked AA team in the province, edged the No. 1 (A) Mustangs 27-25, 15-25, 15-11 for the provincial title at Vancouver’s Notre Dame High School.
