It appears one person has been transported to hospital following a two vehicle crash on Highway 97 South and Gellatly Road.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.

No word on the condition of the patient.

One vehicle appeared to sustain heavy front end damage while the other wound up on the median near the traffic light pole.

Southbound traffic is moving slowly as a result of the collision.
