A firefighter tells a resident she cannot drive up to her home until the all clear is given

A West Kelowna neighbourhood smells like rotten eggs Monday after a construction crew accidentally hit a natural gas line.

The gas leak, on Lakeview Cove Road, occurred just after 10 a.m.

Half an hour later the line was still spewing gas into the air.

West Kelowna Fire says no one was evacuated as the gas was dispersing in the air, but nearby residents were urged to keep their windows and doors shut.
