Master plans and group hugs

There will be a presentation on BC Hydro direct current fast charging station installation at a committee of the whole meeting in council chambers at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday.

The staff recommendation being that council enter into an agreement with BC Hydro for the installation of a direct current fast charge electrical vehicle charging station in Penticton.

Highlights of the regular council agenda, at 6 p.m., Tuesday, include presentations by Scott Mudry on the biggest group hug and the Penticton & Area Access Centre, formerly the Penticton & Area Women's Centre.

There will also be a delegation speaking on the SS Sicamous Master Plan.

Staff reports will focus on permissive tax exemptions for 2015 including new applicants for the exemption, as well as a renewal of vacant building registration permit for 597 Martin Street and 2015 economic investment zone agreements.

A letter requesting support from the Agur Lake Camp Society will be discussed at the council meeting.

The location is a barrier free wilderness camp specifically designed and built for children with special needs and their families.
